Six Years of Mr. Smith

Mr. Smith is turning six! We began our Australian family-owned business 6 years ago on the 1st of November 2015, beginning with only 14 products in our collection. Since then, our product collection has grown to over 40 and Mr. Smith has expanded into over 10 countries around the world with staff operating throughout Australia, US and Europe.



We constantly strive to be honest with our consumers. As a company, sustainability is at the core of our values, which is why we use sustainable Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastic and FSC Recycled paper packaging. By making the transition to these sustainable methods of packaging, we will have reduced approximately 100 tonnes of plastic creation & usage in 5 years; reducing landfill, our carbon footprint and virgin plastic production and consumption.


Australian Made Products

Mr. Smith takes pride in designing, developing and making our products in Australia. We are committed to meticulously crafting our products from a selection of Australian botanicals and essential oils, finding innovative ways to use organic rosemary, Kakadu plum and frankincense. Combining these with rose geranium, macadamia oil and açaí berry, has led to a range of products that are engineered for performance utilising only premium ingredients for our community.



Community has always been at the heart of Mr. Smith and we’ve been honoured to partner with organisations such as EARTHDAY.ORG’s The Canopy Project, re-planting over 10,000 trees in Madagascar, supporting local communities and providing pathways to help future generations. Other organisations we have partnered with include the Salvation Army, Women’s Property Initiative, and Indigenous Literacy Foundation.



As an editorial brand at heart, a highlight of our journey has been working with world renowned fashion houses such as Pucci, A.P.C and Area in addition to partnering with industry leaders; Jawara, Gary Gill, Pawel Solis, Paolo Soffiatti and our Global Ambassador Stefano Grecco.


The Paris Collection

Shot in central Paris at Île de la Cité; one of the world’s most glamorous cities, The Paris Collection saw us teaming up with several long-time Mr. Smith collaborators photographer Steven Chee and stylist Marina Didovich. Along with Mr. Smith Creative Director Freda Rossidis, Paris-based hairstylist Pawel Solis and Paris-based makeup artist Mayumi Oda. This shoot was particularly special as we made a distinct departure from our previous studio shoots, becoming a favourite for Mr. Smith partners & salons around the world. We took a creative approach with this campaign that resulted in a series of elegant, minimally worked looks that echoed the style seen on the streets of Paris, Milan, and New York; the Fashion Capitals while capturing the essence of Mr. Smith in a completely new way.


Our Future

Looking to the future, we’re excited to continue growing our brand while supporting our community through education programs, partnerships, and developing innovative products made from native Australian ingredients. Whilst we look to continually build our collection we will take inspiration from some of our favourite products like The Foundation, Balancing Shampoo, Blond, Serum and Leave In.
