Browne Andrews: Celebrity Stylist

He’s worked with some of the most renowned fashion publications in the world — Vogue, GQ and WWD to name a few — and styled celebrities for events like the Met Gala.

His style is unmatched and his clientele is first class. Introducing, Browne Andrews.

How did you get into styling?

I hate to sound cliché, but it just sort of happened. I never thought I’d be in the business of style — I had friends that were part of the young LA fashion scene and at the time I was wearing their clothes in my own way and I noticed people enjoyed my point of view.

Who do you consider your first big celebrity client?

If we’re being literal I’d probably say one of the 6’4 – 7’1 talented NBA stars I’ve worked with but for nostalgia I had the pleasure of working with legendary musician Raphael Saadiq on a concert in New York.

What is your styling process? How do you go about styling a client?

Everything begins and ends with a story. Every story has a main character. My job is to find that, find what makes that character unique and develop principles to maintain that authenticity.

Where do you find inspiration?

Everywhere really… just being alive, having eyes, my senses, the people and places I’ve never seen or met… and oh how I love the cinema.… a place to dream and believe.

What is your favourite fashion trend right now?

Well, to know me is to know I’m not into trends. I’m into individuals.

Piece of advice you live by?

Be. Lead. Live. Love.

Style. Substance. Simplicity.
